PCIT

In Parent Child Interaction Therapy (PCIT), you’ll learn specific skills to help your child feel calmer, more cooperative, and more connected to you — all while being supported and coached in real time by your therapist.

At Child Behavior Management Pittsburgh, we offer PCIT via secure telehealth, so you can practice these tools right in your own home — where your child’s real-life behaviors happen.

You don’t have to navigate big emotions or daily struggles alone. PCIT gives you practical strategies and ongoing support to help your child thrive.

FAQS

you’ve got questions. We’ve got answers.

  • Click here to book a free, 30-minute consultation call to get started with a parent group or individual therapy for your child.

  • Up to two caregivers may join group sessions. Most groups have a requirement that your child has a particular diagnosis (ADHD, anxiety, etc.) in order to qualify for the group. A free 30-minute consultation call will be conducted to insure your family is appropriate for a parent group.

  • Many parents find that they meet goals for their child after completing one of our groups. Unmet goals may be addressed with individual therapy after the completion of a parent group.

  • No. Your therapist will work with you individually to assess the need for formal evaluations and can provide referrals as-needed. Many of our programs are intended to be preventative, and so we expect that many families using our services do not yet have a formal diagnosis for their child.

  • Child Behavior Management Pittsburgh is a private practice and we do not accept insurance.

However, we will happily provide you with a super bill which can be submitted for out-of-network reimbursement.
