Individual Therapy
IIndividual therapy at Child Behavior Management Pittsburgh is not a one-size-fits-all approach. We work with children and families navigating ADHD, anxiety, Selective Mutism, behavioral challenges, and the moments that feel too hard to manage alone — with a treatment plan that is tailored to your child, your family, and your specific goals.
Individual therapy may be a good fit if your child…
Has been diagnosed with ADHD, anxiety, or Selective Mutism — or you suspect one of these
Struggles with big emotional reactions, meltdowns, or shutting down
Has difficulty at school, in social situations, or with daily routines
Is avoiding things they used to do because of worry or fear
Has tried other approaches and things are still feeling stuck
Needs a level of individualized attention that a group setting cannot provide
All individual therapy sessions are available via secure telehealth — no commute required.
Family-Based Behavioral Therapy
Every family has challenges — and sometimes children need extra support to learn skills like managing big emotions, following routines, or handling worry. Family-based behavioral therapy helps parents and children work together to build these skills in a supportive, structured way.
Through guided practice, parents learn practical strategies to respond calmly and effectively, while children learn to manage behavior, cope with feelings, and build confidence. The result? Stronger connections, smoother daily routines, and a happier, more resilient family.
